So I guess I'll have to ask Spectrasonics how you could turn that off, pretty sure there's some hidden options somewhere. But in a main part, with kicking beats and leads, those finger noises are just in way I think and they don't work well with side chaining etc. In a break, where I would mix the bass with Piano and drums for example, or strings, those "noises" are fine and add a 'real' feeling to the section of that track. There is some exceptions of course but I always thought a real acoustic bass has a much better and warmer sound, that's why I use them. I do mainly dance music, and I never really like synth basses. But that also changes the sound itself sadly.īut yes, I agree that these are important and make it sound real. What sample start time do you mean? The attack? If so, then that would change the sound too much, the only 'solution' I've found so far is to turn down the velocity of the MIDI notes a bit.
